Conference Center, Building A
With every election and every war, there is propaganda. You
might agree with the sentiments or not, but at the 12th Annual
International Vintage Poster Fair you can see late 19th century
and early 20th century posters that attempt to inform, convince,
and inflame. Youll also see posters that romanticize
the grape and take you to the most exotic lands.
Some of the finest artists have put their talents to work
in the medium Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Alphonse Mucha,
and Leonetto Cappiello to name a few. Because of the size,
graphic nature of the art, and the intense color, posters
are favored as décor for restaurants and hotels and
are also prized by collectors and interior designers.
If
you are in the market for some giant posters that tempt you
to travel, sip a fine liqueur, or participate in past pop
culture, you might want to put the poster fair on your itinerary
for late October. In fact, you might even find some vintage
goblins and ghouls among these fine works of graphic art.
For more information, see October
28 and visit www.posterfair.com.
