Cowell Theater
The San Francisco Conservatory of Music presents performances of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s opera, Le Nozze di Figaro, (The Marriage of Figaro) beginning Thursday, April 6 and ending on Sunday, April 9.
Follow the comic adventures of Figaro as he outwits an eccentric count, restores harmony to a troubled household, and ensures his own happiness.
Mozart, born in 1786, created 22 operas and 40 symphonies in his lifetime. Le Nozze di Figaro is one of the most frequently produced of Mozart’s operas. The Conservatory of Music, founded in 1917, now provides musical instruction to 310 full-time students, 400 students in after-school programs, and 500 adults with evening and weekend schedules. They are currently raising funds for a new home in San Franciscoís Civic Center neighborhood
