Herbst Pavilion
There’s always a lot of talk about emerging artists and trend spotting in the art world. One of the best ways to get an advanced look at the direction of art is to look at what’s coming out of the world’s best art schools. Now’s your chance.
Get a first look at truly emerging artists in May at Fort Mason Center’s Herbst Pavilion, where 100 San Francisco Art Institute (SFAI) Master of Fine Arts graduates present their work beginning Saturday, May 20. An opening night reception takes place Friday, May 19.
One of the oldest — founded in 1871 — and most prestigious contemporary art schools in the US, SFAI holds classes in painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture, filmmaking, and design and technology.
For more information, check May 19 or visit www.sfai.edu.
