Festival Pavilion

Italy’s hottest young tenor, Vittorio Grigolo makes his US debut at this year’s Macy’s Passport in the Festival Pavilion. Passport, an always electrifying fashion show, features designers Hugo Boss, Sean John, Heatherette, 2(x)ist, Bali Platinum, and M•A•C. The two-night blast benefits HIV/AIDS services, prevention, and research.

Macy's Passport 2006 Photo: Drew AltizerThe first AIDS diagnosis was made a quarter of a century ago. One year later Macy’s joined the battle to defeat it. In 1982, they held their first fashion show benefit in the employee cafeteria. Since then it has grown into one of San Francisco’s signature events and, more importantly, raised nearly $20 million to help HIV/AIDS organizations.

The big American Express Opening Night is Wednesday, featuring cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and a live auction as well as the show. On Thursday, Priscilla Presley will be on hand to host the Passport Gala Evening festivities, which include the Wells Fargo VIP Passport Lounge.

For more information, check the September 20 calendar listing or call (877) 252-7814.
