Festival Pavilion
Do you like beer—as in flavorful ones from local breweries to exotic ales and pilsners from around the world? The 25th Annual San Francisco International Beer Festival returns to Fort Mason Center this year on April 26—so hopefully your answer was yes.
Guests can choose from some of the world’s finest microbrews and other rarities, sample food from some of San Francisco’s best restaurants, and enjoy live music. Marin Brewing Company, 21st Amendment, Lost Coast, Half Moon Bay, and many other local breweries are on hand. Sapporo, Guinness, and Stella Artois are familiar brews to many and are at the fest, but don’t miss out on tasting Delirium Tremens, Old Speckled Hen, and Monty Python Holy Grail Ale. To go along with all the good beer there’s food from HiDive, Joe Dimaggio’s Italian Chophouse, Rnm, and Pizza Orgasmica. The festival supports a good cause—proceeds benefit the children at Telegraph Hill Cooperative Nursery School, a parent-run school in operation for more than 50 years. The beer makers and distributors donate the brew that brings in 70 percent of the school’s annual operating budget.
In 1983, first year of the festival, the fundraiser attracted just 100 people, but in recent years that number has swelled to the thousands making it quite the destination for both the serious beer enthusiast and the casual sipper. Enjoy beers from around the world and great food while supporting a positive cause!
