SAN FRANCISCO — Christy Rey is the new Director of Sales for Fort Mason Center. The announcement was made today by Fort Mason Foundation Executive Director Alexander Zwissler.

“We are extremely pleased to have someone with such wide-ranging sales, event-planning, and marketing experience,” Zwissler said. “She will be responsible for the overall sales of the Center’s 130,000 square feet of venue space. With a new sales team in place, we look forward to a fresh approach to the marketing of these remarkable historic buildings.”

A published writer as well, Rey previously worked as Community Liaison for the Bay Area company, Pet Food Express, and as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for PEAK Exhibits in Denver.

“One of my goals,” Rey said, “is to research new revenue opportunities for all of our venues.”

As Director of Sales, Rey will guide efforts to increase occupancy for the Festival and Herbst Pavilions, the Conference Center and Firehouse, as well as the smaller Meeting and Activity spaces.
